We are seeking an experienced LaserNet professional with 6+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining document output solutions using LaserNet for a fast-paced IT services and client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in document composition, form design, print and electronic output processing, and system integration. This role involves direct interaction with clients to gather requirements, provide solution design, and ensure high-quality delivery of document management and output solutions across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Architecture: Design and build complex document layouts using the Lasernet Developer tool, ensuring professional branding and adherence to regional compliance.
- Advanced Data Fetching: Utilize the Lasernet Query Tool and LAC (Lasernet Azure Connector) to pull data from D365 tables, views, and external SQL sources without modifying core X++ code.
- Logic & Mapping: Implement advanced scripting (JavaScript) and conditional formatting within Lasernet to handle complex business rules (e.g., 'if customer country is X, show footer Y').
- Distribution Management: Configure output destinations including Cloud Print, Email (with dynamic attachments), SharePoint archiving, and XML/EDI for vendor integration.
- Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize report generation times, particularly for high-volume manufacturing documents like picking lists and warehouse labels.
- Deployment & ALM: Manage the movement of Lasernet configurations across environments (Dev, UAT, Production) and maintain version control of design files.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Lasernet Suite: Expert-level proficiency in Lasernet Developer (9.x or 10.x), Lasernet Form Editor, and the Lasernet Connector for D365.
- D365 Knowledge: Deep understanding of the D365 F&SCM data schema (Sales, Procurement, and Warehouse modules).
- Technical Standards: Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, and XPath. Familiarity with JavaScript for custom scripts within Lasernet.
- Output Formats: Experience generating varied formats including PDF, Excel, ZPL (for Zebra printers), and EDI-standard XML.
