Build quality into technology that works beneath the wavesAs Sonardyne continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and detail-focused Quality Inspector to join our Quality Team at our Blackbushe facility in Yateley.
If you have experience inspecting electronic, electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies, understand what good workmanship looks like and aren't afraid to challenge something when it doesn't look right, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Our technology operates in some of the world's most demanding underwater environments, so quality isn't simply a final check - its fundamental to what we do. The RoleAs a Quality Inspector, you'll work closely with our Production, Engineering, Test and Supply Chain teams to ensure components and finished assemblies meet the required quality and workmanship standards.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being close to the product and takes genuine pride in getting the details right.
What You'll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting PCB's, cables and electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies manufactured internally and by external suppliers.
- Carrying out patrol inspections across Production and Test areas to help maintain high workmanship standards.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, bills of materials, parts lists and assembly documentation.
- Identifying quality concerns and raising observations through our internal reporting systems to support timely resolution.
- Checking certification, traceability and supporting documentation for incoming materials and components.
- Inspecting coils, cables, battery packs and other assemblies for workmanship, labelling and compliance.
- Supporting basic testing and inspection of batteries and simple P{CB assemblies following appropriate training.
- Prioritising inspection activities in line with production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Maintaining accurate quality and inspection records with our SYSPRO ERP system.
- Preparing reject and non-conformance documentation where required. xgikmsk
