Job Title: Operational Specialist

We are seeking a passionate individual with a love for travel to join our dynamic team at Sona Tours Ltd. The primary goal is to ensure client satisfaction and foster loyalty through smooth operational management within our busy, growing tour operator company. As a key player in our team, your role will support upper management in developing strategies to meet or exceed sales targets by maintaining efficient operations.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the travel industry, confidently dealing with staff, suppliers, and directors. Strong skills in operations, fare knowledge, staff management, and communication are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is also required.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Managing budgets and maintaining financial records
  • Sourcing products and destinations for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism
  • Participating in familiarization visits to new destinations
  • Liaising with travel partners to manage bookings and schedules
  • Dealing with customer inquiries and ensuring expectations are met
  • Overseeing the smooth operation of the business
  • Negotiating with suppliers on B2B and B2C levels
  • Managing bookings, cancellations, and services for travel products
  • Handling FIT travel arrangements and ground transportation
  • Collaborating with other departments to resolve customer queries
  • Problem-solving across various aspects of the business
  • Managing mid and back-office operations

  • Experience in the above responsibilities, candid, hardworking, and committed
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn in-house software
  • Flexibility to work shifts in a 24-hour operation
