We’ve built an end‑to‑end platform covering Scheduling, HR, Payroll, and Communications that gives the largest frontline organisations everything they need to staff smarter and empower their teams. It’s an exciting time to join – we’re still small enough to give you impact yet large enough to have structure, experienced leadership and world‑class benefits.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior People Partner to own the day‑to‑day of our People function as Sona scales through its next phase of growth. You report to the Chief of Staff & VP of People (dual role). Responsibilities

  • Own the people function day‑to‑day as a key business partner across the organisation.

  • Drive People projects – performance management frameworks, learning & development, and culture initiatives – through design to execution.
  • Improve and document our operating processes, ensuring they are AI‑first and scalable.
  • Work with the VP of People to roll out the People strategy as we expand beyond 150 headcount into international markets.

Requirements

  • Self‑sufficient People generalist comfortable with business partnering, ops and project delivery.
  • Experience in a startup/scale‑up (ideally post‑Series A), building “from scratch” rather than mandating mandates.
  • Strong commercial sense – frame People decisions around business strategy and organisational priorities.
  • Personal experience with performance management, probation, and difficult people situations.
  • Self‑sufficient stakeholder manager who navigates ambiguity and makes independent judgement calls.
  • Clear, self‑directed communicator who adapts to different audiences and levels.
  • Bonus: experience scaling a people function through 150‑300+ headcount, int’l employment exposure or designing performance management / L&D from scratch.

  • Salary: £80k‑£95k
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in‑office in London.
  • Share options.
  • 35 days annual leave (25+10 flex.)
