Due to continued growth in our Residential Property Department, we are now seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor/ Licenced Conveyancer to join our team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced conveyancing solicitor/Licenced Conveyancer who is looking to join a supportive, down-to-earth firm where their contribution will genuinely matter. You will manage your own varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion, with appropriate administrative support.
Your caseload will include:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- New build and off-plan purchases
- Shared ownership transactions
- Help to Buy schemes
- Auction transactions
- Right to Buy matters
- Title investigations and reporting
You will be responsible for:
- Taking instructions and providing clear advice to clients
- Drafting and reviewing contracts
- Investigating title and raising enquiries
- Reporting to clients
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
- Handling exchange and completion
- Managing post-completion formalities
We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent client care and who values being part of a collaborative team.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Licenced Conveyancer (ideally 3+ years PQE, though strong candidates will be considered)
- Have experience managing a full residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Be confident handling both freehold and leasehold matters
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Be highly organised and capable of managing deadlines effectively
- Have excellent communication and client care skills
- Be approachable, personable, and a good fit for a small team environment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience supervising support staff
- Existing client following
- Knowledge of the Leicester and surrounding property market
