Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Manager, Corporate FP&A, in our Global Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role will support quarterly forecasting and annual planning processes; review and understand forecasts and plans; produce timely and insightful analysis; and prepare executive-level presentations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage quarter forecasting and annual planning processes.
  • Review and understand the forecasts and plans produced by our businesses and use this information to further develop analysis.
  • Produce analysis to enhance the quality of the Plan, including underwriting and profitability insights.
  • Facilitate effective decision‑making by analyzing financial information, industry trends and economic conditions.
  • Support the development of presentations to key stakeholders including the board of directors, executive leadership and the investment community.
  • Develop new processes and reports to enhance the overall planning function, and enhance tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with partners to obtain necessary information and supporting documentation.
  • Create a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, and creativity.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in a quantitative field (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics).
  • MBA, Certified Public Accountant, and/or Chartered Financial Analyst preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and succinctly summarize financial results.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments.
  • Technical skillsets in budgeting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
