Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Global Head of Finance Transformation in our Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations and Procurement. The finance function is evolving and has recently introduced a new target operating model based on vertically aligned functional pillars which will enable Finance to support Sompo’s rapid growth, complexity, and global ambitions. The new target operating model will drive harmonised processes and tools, strengthen governance, reliability, and cross-border collaboration. The Global Head of Finance Transformation will be instrumental in embedding this new model across the Sompo organisation.

What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global finance transformation strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and priorities.
- Support the finance verticals (FP&A, Controllership, Tax, Treasury) to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Embed a robust project prioritisation process across the finance function with clear program governance, milestones and performance management.
- Build capabilities within the Finance Transformation team to support Digital finance, AI and automation, Data analytics, operating model design.
- Partner with IT and the finance teams to align technology roadmaps and architecture.
- Support operating model design of finance covering shared service centres, outsourcing/offshoring, centres of excellence, local teams.
What you’ll bring:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years leading large-scale transformation projects in a multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, systems, and processes, including ERP platforms and emerging technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering complex transformation initiatives on time and within budget.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
