Our Central Pricing team acts as a centre of excellence, leading global projects to enhance pricing strategies and promote consistency across multiple lines of business. What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining and enhancing production systems: Develop current in-house catastrophe modelling tools, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Support the Development: Collaborate with the AVP - Catastrophe Modelling Developer to drive innovation and automation in Catastrophe Modelling systems, positioning our organisation at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate Across Borders: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams in multiple geographic regions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings and insights effectively to Catastrophe Analysts, Actuaries, and Underwriting teams, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Staying Current: Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in Catastrophe Modelling to keep our systems and processes up-to-date.
What you’ll bring:
- Programming: SQL Server, TSQL, including experience writing stored procedures.
- C# (.Net 10), ASP.NET, LINQ, Blazor, Git, Web API design and development.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years commercial experience of full stack software development.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science).
- Proven experience in Catastrophe Modelling within the insurance industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment.
