Responsibilities
- Lead external engagement and business development within the Technology sector
- Prioritize and evaluate new and renewal submissions for profit opportunity
- Set terms and conditions per underwriting strategy to quote qualified risks
- Attend client/broker meetings and related events
- Apply underwriting pricing discipline to meet profitability goals
- Expand portfolio by nurturing existing relationships and sourcing new clients
- Maintain risk governance and compliance culture with proactive monitoring and escalation
- Conduct individual account underwriting audits as needed
Key requirements
- 8+ years of underwriting experience
- 4+ years of experience in the Technology sector
- Cross-class underwriting experience in the middle market
- Established relationships with specialist Technology brokers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
