Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join our Global Risk Function.
This newly created role will report to the Group Head of Operational Risk. The Group Operational Risk team
plays a vital role in providing oversight of key operational risks across the group including the deployment of a
robust and consistent framework. This exciting opportunity will allow the incumbent to play a key part in
strengthening the operational resilience of the Company with regular interaction with senior management and
local risk teams across the organization.
The Global Risk Function comprising several centres of global core risk competency including: ERM reporting
and risk governance; exposure management, risk modelling and research and development. Each of these global
teams are led by experienced risk professionals who are charged with establishing best practices, developing
global capabilities, and providing group-wide support.

Our business, your impact, our opportunity:
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the development of the group operational risk framework including risk appetite and
monitoring metrics, and scenario analysis.

Support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for the corporate functions (e.g., HR, BCP)

Review internal loss incidents including root-cause analyze and trends, and share lessons learned across
all regions. Review and disseminate intelligence from external events.
- Support with the production and enhancement of operational risk profiling and dashboards including
executive and board level reporting.

Support in the development of operational risk training and education materials across the Group.

Support the configuration and maintenance of the Company’s GRC system including user-guidelines
and support.
- Support with 2nd line governance and control reviews including thematical reviews commissioned by
the Group Operational Risk Committee (ORC)
