Operational Resilience — Lead

Location: London office | Contract Type: Permanent | Work Pattern: Full Time and Hybrid (3 days office based)

The Operational Risk, Controls and Resilience team (Operations) is looking for a dynamic individual that wants to help us shape and redefine our resilience and control environment to build an Operations function that has resilience at its heart.

What you’ll be doing:

While there is no \”typical\” day in this role, here are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the BAU of Operational Resilience and Coordination of Remediation Work:
  • Take the lead on coordinating ongoing remediation efforts, working across multiple teams to ensure identified lessons learned and remediation initiatives are successfully implemented.
  • Support the facilitation of Operational Resilience exercises and testing workshops, as well as manage all aspects in delivering Sompo’s annual Self-Assessment Document (drafting, preparing for sign-off, and submission).
  • Operational Resilience Reporting:
  • Oversee the delivery of monthly resilience MI to support relevant governance committees (e.g., ORSC/TPRM SteerCo)
  • Capture, analyse, and report risks and incidents, providing impactful dashboards for monthly reporting.
  • Resilience Optimization Requests:
  • Assist with the delivery of resilience initiatives (e.g., as part of Sompo’s transformation strategy).
  • Follow up and support the completion of change initiatives and remediation tasks with stakeholders.
  • Be the Operational Resilience Champion
  • Promote enterprise resilience awareness and implement effective resilience processes and monitoring.
  • Ensure operational resilience is embedded throughout the organization, aligning with market standards and regulatory changes, including Third-Party Risk Management developments.
