At Sompo International we are establishing a market leading multinational business model by leveraging innovation, technology, an extensive global network and the highest levels of expertise in the industry. The position of Multinational Client Executive is responsible for managing the Multinational Programmes for an assigned portfolio of accounts and the promotion of the Sompo Multinational value proposition internally and externally. The role will act as a go-to Multinational subject matter expert, delivering the highest standards of client service to clients and brokers through the direction and execution of key pre & post-bind activities. Builds strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages the design and execution of an assigned portfolio of Multinational programmes working in partnership with product underwriters (all LOBs) and distribution.
- Responsible for all non-underwriting aspects of client service delivery (pre & post-bind) for the assigned portfolio, ensuring contract certainty and a positive multinational client experience.
- Builds strong relationships with brokers, clients, underwriters and distribution to promote Sompo Multinational, account retentions and new business wins.
- Be a go-to Multinational subject matter expert, solution finder, and escalation point internally and externally, in respect of multinational program design and execution, territorial analysis, and all multinational related matters.
- Work closely with underwriters, distribution, brokers and clients.
- Understands and advises clients and brokers in respect of their requirements for global insurance programmes.
- Champions the Multinational end-to-end process with internal and external stakeholders.
- Usually responsible for medium to high complexity Multinational Programmes, including captive fronting.
- Collaborate with and direct activities of assigned Multinational Programme Specialist(s).
- Contribute to Sompo Multinational strategic global initiatives and projects.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Multinational Commercial insurance background, preferably in a client servicing role.
- Strong technical knowledge of complex multinational programmes, including reinsurance structures, with experience of the multinational environment and process.
- Strong client focus, experienced working with multinational businesses, with a track-record of being a lead interface with risk managers and brokers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines / Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities.
- IT packages; MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
- CII Qualification desirable (Company support available).
- European language skill a plus.
