Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Casualty Risk Control Specialist in our UK Risk Control team. Our UK Risk Control team offers diverse multi-line risk control services to our internal and external stakeholders. The department supports multiple underwriting departments including but not limited to Corporate Property, Casualty, Middle Market P&C, Energy & Renewables and marine. We work to deliver risk control services to our policyholders and build long-term partnerships on the foundation of a strong service proposition.

What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with Underwriting, Claims, and Management/Executive teams to support and strengthen corporate business goals, including retention, new business growth, reducing loss exposure, and overall regional profitability.
- Ensuring Risk Control surveys and service activities are completed on time, are appropriate for the identified hazards/exposures, and are accurate.
- Undertaking risk control surveys for Casualty Clients.
- Managing Major Casualty accounts.
- Monitoring recommendations made by consultants and ensuring critical recommendations are addressed by Clients.
- Providing service quality reviews and desktop reviews for primary/excess placement for Underwriters.
- Leading development of the overall risk control proposition for the Casualty Line and providing support for departmental projects.
- Collaborative working with others to achieve departmental goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Health and safety qualifications (Minimum qualification IOSH/NEBOSH Diploma). IOSH Chartered membership is preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of public Liability exposure assessment/management.
- Experience in the following industry sectors: Heavy industries & Chemicals.
- 10+ years’ experience in Casualty insurance Risk Control.
- Solid understanding of sound Risk Control processes and techniques.
- Experience in the London insurance Market with demonstrated experience in risk control applicable to Casualty line.
