Overview
In this role, you will support UK Change and Transformation to drive improvements across underwriting, claims and related functions. You’ll blend business analysis, data insight and AI-enabled tooling to identify opportunities, design solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to modernise operations and strengthen resilience. This is a chance to shape transformation initiatives in a dynamic insurance environment and work with cross-functional stakeholders. You will work from the London office and contribute to Sompo’s strategic goals through evidence-based change.

Responsibilities
- Analyse end-to-end processes, operating models, and customer journeys to identify inefficiencies and opportunities
- Propose innovative solutions and challenge current ways of working
- Translate complex problems into actionable recommendations and apply systems thinking
- Use data to uncover trends, risks and opportunities; develop dashboards and KPIs with Power BI/Tableau
- Collaborate with data teams to define metrics and performance indicators
- Leverage AI tools and emerging tech to improve analysis, delivery, and decision-making
- Support transformation delivery from idea to implementation, including business case development and benefit tracking
- Monitor industry trends in London Market and Commercial Insurance to inform initiatives
Key requirements
- 5–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in insurance or related sectors
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar tools
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Experience with collaboration and productivity tools for workshops and team delivery (MIRO, SharePoint)
- Understanding of process modelling and business architecture concepts
- Exposure to AI-enabled practices and modern digital tooling
- Experience supporting UAT, business readiness, and implementation activities
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
