Job Description

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Head of Procurement, Non IT Services and Europe in our Global Procurement team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement category leader to join our Global Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for globally leading and managing the procurement categories for HR, Professional Services, Facilities and Marketing across the organization, as well as acting as point of contact for the UK and Continental Europe.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the category strategy development for HR, Professional Services, Facilities and Marketing globally and act as a Procurement point of contact for the European businesses (IT and Non IT).
  • Conduct assessments of business requirements, products, spend and the supply market for those category groups.
  • Liaise closely with end-users to determine their requirements, providing input into the sourcing process. Ensures end-users requirements are sufficiently detailed in an appropriate format.
  • Negotiate local, regional or global contracts in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with business partners to identify and minimise exposure to financial and operational risks.
  • Ensure good governance in all aspects of category and contracts management.
  • Drive for continuous improvement in all relevant work processes.
