The **Business Development Analyst** will play a pivotal role in the support and future development of the business by generating insights and identifying compelling opportunities & strategies based on analytics to the senior management leadership teams.**Location:** This position will be based out of our **London** office. We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers. **Our business, your impact, our opportunity:** **What you’ll be doing:*** Produce accurate, complete, appropriate and timely data sets for key stakeholders* Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly exception reports as well as ad hoc reports, performing analysis and identifying trends in data as well as external markets as required* Liaising with key stakeholders within the underwriting teams to identify trends, challenges and reasoning behind the data* Provide Distribution team with a report each month on each strategic brokers data and commentary per line of business* Working with our regional leadership team to develop system to ensure regular, consistent and accurate data is split between each office* Liaising with accounts on invoicing for each broker agreement and facility in place* Fostering the Distribution / Underwriter relationship network and managing key stakeholders* Ensure the accuracy of data and system usage to allow effective data collation, capture, manipulation, forecasting and reporting* Handling day-to-day business queries from Underwriters and Brokers* Liaising with broker teams to understand the Sompo share of wallet and ranking on a quarterly basis* Regular analysis of broker numbers and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the data* Working with each brokers pipeline tool to ensure Distribution and underwriting teams have the latest account lists* Assessing global broker surveys and developing strategic plans to improve and enhance the Sompo proposition to the market across Underwriting & Claims* Reporting on broker relationship performance via various KPI metrics* To research and collect data to help Sompo develop and market their products and services, and consider data including consumer demographics, preferences, needs, or buying habits **What you’ll bring:*** Keen, motivated and a natural desire to learn and develop in the field* A driven progressive mind-set and demonstrated perseverance to achieve results* Data analysis and visualisation* Data extraction from internal CRM, data warehouses or other databases* Customer profiling and segmentation* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business* Good confidence with ability to communicate with conviction and listen actively* Excellent Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint skills* Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy* Ability to assist in developing innovative and pragmatic solutions to problems* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Strong attention to detail and ability to see tasks through to conclusion* Ability to work autonomously and within a team* Demonstrate organisational and time management expertise* Demonstrate service-oriented approach, enthusiastic, motivated, positive attitude, good initiative and a self-starter* Geopolitical interest and/or background would be advantageous.* Degree or equivalent qualification in numerate discipline eg.
