About Somo Somo is an award-winning specialist bridging lender, providing fast, flexible property finance across England and Wales. Since 2014, Somo has completed over £403 million of lending by combining common-sense underwriting with a pragmatic approach to property-backed lending. This is intended to be an office-based role within our Altrincham/Manchester team. The Opportunity We are exploring the addition of a Senior Developer to join Somo and help us build the next generation of digital products, integrations and automation across our business. This would be a broad, hands-on role for an experienced developer who is comfortable working across backend development, systems architecture, APIs, artificial intelligence and front-end applications. Rather than joining a large existing development team, you would work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to take ideas from concept through to working products. The exact scope of the position will continue to evolve as our development roadmap grows, making this an opportunity for the right person to have a significant influence over the technology and products we build next. Being part of the business and working closely with the people who will actually use the systems you build is important to us. For that reason, we are specifically looking for someone who wants to work collaboratively with the wider team rather than in a fully remote development environment.
