We are looking for an Onsite Project Manager Commercial Projects who ensures the successful onsite delivery of commercial blind and control installation projects within our Project Business channel. In this role, you are the key link between customers, installers, contractors and internal teams, safeguarding quality, safety and customer satisfaction from order intake through to final handover. You will take ownership of onsite execution, combining strong technical understanding with hands‑on project coordination. Your presence on site is essential. You will manage risks proactively and ensure that installations meet both technical specifications and contractual commitments. By maintaining clear communication and control throughout the project lifecycle, you contribute directly to Somfy’s reputation for reliability and professionalism in complex commercial environments. Working closely with the Channel Manager Project Business, as well as sales, and the Project Manager, you translate project requirements into smooth onsite execution. You act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved and ensure that issues are resolved swiftly and effectively. Your approach is structured, customer‑focused and calm, even when projects are under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage onsite commercial blind and control installation projects from order confirmation through to final handover.
  • Act as the primary onsite point of contact for customers, installers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence to oversee execution and address issues proactively.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment between all parties.
  • Carry out site surveys to confirm technical requirements and installation readiness.
  • Ensure all installations comply with technical specifications, contractual obligations and agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery.
  • Manage project variations, snagging, commissioning and onsite close‑out activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules and progress reporting.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement timely mitigation actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through professional delivery and service‑minded communication.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant technical or construction‑project related experience, preferably within commercial project or installation environments.
  • Technical understanding of commercial blind and solar shading systems, including installation methods and onsite processes.
  • Knowledge of blind control solutions and their application within commercial projects.
  • Good understanding of construction environments, including health and safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
  • A construction‑related qualification is considered an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, installers, contractors and internal stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to act pragmatically in onsite situations.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines and project activities simultaneously.
  • Customer‑focused and service‑minded approach, with a clear focus on quality and delivery.
  • Structured, detail‑oriented and able to maintain oversight throughout the full project lifecycle.
