Chef β City Centre Location (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week) Mondays and Tuesdays off
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our city centre culinary team. The ideal candidate will have proven kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dishes in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee kitchen operations, support and manage the team, and ensure the highest food quality and safety standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and enjoys contributing fresh ideas to menus and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety in line with health regulations.
- Manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and order supplies as needed.
- Work with management on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events.
- Ensure quality control throughout preparation and service.
- Assist in menu planning that highlights seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills across a range of cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Highly organised, able to multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong passion for hospitality and outstanding customer service.
- Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to take initiative.
Working Hours
- 5-day working week
- Shift patterns:
- Wed, Thur, Fri: 8-4
- Sat: 8:30-4
- Sun: 8:30-4
- City centre location with excellent transport links.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Β£13.00-Β£14.00 per hour
