The individual will be responsible for supervising a team of operatives and supporting client projects.

The role includes improving operational efficiency, maintaining health and safety standards, and driving sustainable practices across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operations team to meet productivity and quality targets.

Client Project Support

  • Oversee the preparation and assembly of kits.
  • Carry out accurate stock takes and maintain inventory control systems.
  • Reporting any faulty/damaged equipment.
  • Ensure all client requirements are met with precision and consistency.

Sustainability & Efficiency

  • Identify and implement lean working methods to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and support the company's environmental goals.

Health & Safety Supervision

  • Health & Safety Supervision: Enforce company health and safety policies, conducting regular checks to ensure compliance across the recycling area.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free workspace.
  • Report and investigate incidents or near misses and take corrective actions.

Project Management Support

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate workflows, communicate updates, and contribute to planning discussions.
  • Assist with analysing assets submitted for recycling - breaking down into elements, recording weights, photographing and documenting (Experience not essential).
  • Liaise with Logistics Manager.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and logistics to ensure materials and stock flow smoothly in line with operational needs.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a small team.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with stock control and inventory accuracy.
  • Understanding of warehouse/goods-in and goods-out processes.
  • Ability to work safely and promote good health & safety practices.
  • Practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Experience using a specific stock management/ERP system.
  • Experience with continuous improvement or improving warehouse processes.
  • Forklift/warehouse equipment certification, if relevant to the role.
  • Experience with performance management and conducting team reviews.
  • Experience coordinating with Production, Procurement, Logistics or Site Teams.
