We are recruiting a Logistics Controller to take responsibility for the coordination, control and sign-off of logistics activities across our retail operations. This is a hands-on role with real accountability. You will oversee the preparation, packing and dispatch of materials and equipment, ensuring everything is delivered accurately, safely and on time to support engineering works across the store estate. The role also includes responsibility for dangerous goods compliance and sign-off, as well as coordinating logistics requirements for planned maintenance (PPM) activities across multiple locations. This would suit someone with a strong logistics or warehouse background who is ready to step into a role with greater ownership and responsibility.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinating the preparation, packing and dispatch of materials and equipment
- Taking responsibility for dangerous goods compliance and shipment sign-off
- Ensuring materials are delivered accurately and in line with project and PPM schedules
- Working closely with Project Managers and Technical teams to plan material requirements
- Managing logistics requirements across the full lifecycle of PPM activities
- Liaising with transport providers and logistics partners to coordinate domestic and international deliveries
- Monitoring dispatch schedules and identifying risks to delivery timelines
- Resolving issues relating to delays, shortages or delivery failures
- Maintaining accurate records of materials issued, dispatched and returned
