Multiple locations: Taunton, Somerset Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve, Westhay Moor, Westhay, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9TX with opportunities for hybrid working.

Are you interested in working on the supply and installation of a new section of boardwalk at Westhay? The successful Tenderer(s) will supply and install a new section of boardwalk of approximately 83m in length and a 5m x 5m platform at the terminal end, with the other end linking to an existing short loop of boardwalk, all to be to wheelchair accessible specification and suitable for a very wet site. The work will need to be delivered between 20th August and 31st October 2026.

  • An assessment of the key risks facing you and primary (sub)contractor, and Somerset Wildlife Trust; and how you can provide specific support to us on these risks.
  • A statement on how the equipment, mobile plant, construction methods and materials would be selected / sourced to minimize the environmental impact of the project on the peatland habitat and wider environment.
  • A proposed timetable of works and resource allocation plan.
  • An overview of how you will ensure you and the Trust are compliant with all Health and Safety requirements whilst the project is underway in line with relevant ISO standards and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 as a minimum.
  • You should also confirm the role that subcontractors may have in the project, and their experience and credentials for undertaking such works.
  • The organisation’s public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance including names of insurer, policy numbers and expiry date, the limits for any one accident and the excesses under the policy.
  • The organisation’s written health and safety at work policy.
  • The organisation’s Environmental Policy/Statements must be included.
  • Any other information deemed to be appropriate and relevant to the Tender submission.
  • Contact details of three organisations for which you have performed similar work and who may be approached for references.
