This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Fundraising Team at Somerset Wildlife Trust. By providing great supporter care and key administrative support to the team, particularly membership, you will help maximise engagement and income from supporters of the Trust.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional supporter care, being the first point of contact for most supporters and offering first‑class stewardship to ensure members and donors feel well supported.
- Maintain the highest standards of supporter care, including responding to enquiries, judging when to involve colleagues to maximise potential support and income.
- Provide efficient data entry and administration for membership, fundraising appeals, community fundraising and events; process all donations, including credit card payments and cheques, accurately.
- Assist the Fundraising Data Specialist with the efficient processing of monthly Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims and support financial reconciliations.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the online shop, including website presence, fulfilment of all shop purchases and payments, and development of new products/adoptions as agreed with the Fundraising Development Manager.
- Manage multiple tasks and requirements while demonstrating excellent time‑management skills.
- Demonstrate good problem‑solving skills and work independently to resolve most enquiries and issues arising during the day.
- Provide administrative support for the Fundraising team and identify and propose improvements to internal processes to help the team become more efficient.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on the Trust's supporter database (Raiser's Edge), including uploading new memberships, donations and event attendees and updating records.
- Work with other team members to manage the recording of fundraising activity and income to help them become confident users of Raiser's Edge.
- Produce electronic member retention letters and work with the Fundraising Data Specialist to improve processes and maximise effective use of Raiser's Edge.
- Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of Raiser's Edge and support other teams using the system.
- Support Fundraising colleagues with other systems used in day‑to‑day work of the team.
- Manage the day‑to‑day relationship with our membership recruiters at SWWFL, including member upload processes, maintaining data quality, providing additional equipment and resources, and organising SWWFL team days and inductions.
- Manage stock levels and organise the printing and updating of membership materials.
- Liaise with suppliers to gather quotes and order new materials.
Working Hours
3 days per week, preferably Monday to Wednesday, working closely with the Supporter Care and Community Fundraising Coordinator.
