We are looking for individuals who are passionate about learning and are able to support learners to achieve their individual learning plans to join our bank of casual Learning Support Workers/ Invigilators across Somerset. We currently have training centres in: Bridgwater, Taunton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, and Frome.

Learning Support Workers provide support to learners both individually and in small groups. This can take place face to face in a classroom or remotely via Teams. The role requires you to work alongside the tutor to support learners to overcome barriers to their learning as identified within their support plans. This can include support with written work, help to prioritise their tasks, support with maths, acting as a scribe, support to overcome anxiety, and helping to build confidence.

As part of this role, you will also work with our examination team to support our examination process across our centres. This will involve assisting in setting up the exam room, preparing exam papers/online exams, and ensuring that all exam regulations are adhered to. Full training and ongoing guidance will be provided.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate empathy, positivity, and patience with learners, be a confident IT user, and be able to travel to our centres in Somerset.
