Overview
Are you looking for a chance to work in a dynamic outpatient setting within the MSK service in Somerset? We have a Fixed Term Band 5 post available split between Shepton Mallet Community Hospital and West Mendip Community Hospital. You will work closely alongside the team, including Exercise Instructors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Band 7 Clinicians, FCPs, Minor Injury units, Orthopaedic interface service, as well as other AHPs. We offer a generous CPD allowance for our Band 5s, including quarterly in-service training, service and clinical away days and specific Band 5 training. There are many opportunities of growth and development of both yourself and the wider service. Our experienced Band 7 and 8 clinicians work within the departments providing support and joint clinical sessions to enhance your learning and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of therapy service to musculoskeletal outpatients.
- Provide advice regarding the musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients referred to the service.
- Participate in the development of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service.
- Actively participate in your own clinical development.
- Work without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training, clinical reasoning sessions and peer review.
- Access to advice and support is available from senior therapists within the team.
- Be responsible for the safe and correct use of equipment within the department.
- Provide support, guidance and training to peers, students, and Exercise Instructors.
