Overview

The role will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative duties to Community Urgent Care. The team member will also provide flexible administrative support as required and requested by the Administration Manager to support service requirements. The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as the service requires.

Main duties of the job

  • Receive telephone calls, compiling and updating the eroster on a daily basis and liaising with community staffing to ensure staffing is correct.
  • Order stores on a weekly basis
  • Cover reception for breaks and in emergencies
  • Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education with English and maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems
  • Understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act requirements and/or Caldicott issues
  • RSA3 word processing/ typing or equivalent
  • European computer driving licence or equivalent
  • NVQ2 in administration/customer care
  • Knowledge of IT systems relevant to the role

Experience

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative
  • Previous health related administration experience
  • Experience of developing and maintaining databases

Additional Criteria

  • Evidence of a good standard of Literacy / English language skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
