Somerset House has an excellent track record of working with corporate and brand partners, including a number of Awards at the UK Sponsorship Awards. The Partnerships Coordinator is a key role, supporting the work of the Brand Partnerships and Corporate Partnerships teams. Somerset House does not receive any regular public funding, therefore income from fundraising and sponsorship is especially important. Somerset House is an inspiring cause to support, and there is a real opportunity to create rewarding associations with brand and corporate partners across activity including public programming, artist studios and our work developing pathways for young people into the creative industries. The Partnerships Coordinator will be highly organised with a meticulous approach to donor care. They will collaborate closely with colleagues in departments across the organisation including Finance, Marketing, Press, Live Events, Exhibitions and Studios, to provide an inspiring and rewarding association for brands and corporate companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Gift and Sponsorship Administration
- Ensure all benefits, crediting and reporting are fulfilled as per donor requirements and contractual obligations
- Maintain accurate records on each brand / corporate partnership, including tracking benefit uptake, engagement reporting and delivery of contractual responsibilities
- Deliver strategic and impactful communications to brand and corporate partners
- Provide outstanding donor care, working with the team to ensure donors are appropriately and promptly thanked and stewarded, and that benefits are delivered
- New Business
- Design and deliver persuasive proposals, decks, templates and fundraising collateral, responding to design briefs from the development team
- Undertake research assignments on potential brands and corporate partners in accordance with our due diligence protocols, producing detailed prospect research profiles as required
- Events
- Work closely with the Development Coordinator to plan and deliver the Development cultivation and stewardship events programme from sending invitations to event management, working closely with Somerset House’s Commercial Events Operations and wider teams
- Working with the Brand Partnerships and Corporate Partnerships teams, lead on the planning and delivery of contractual and ad hoc partner events such as private views and skate sessions
- Ensure all brand and corporate guests are followed up with appropriately after attending events and maintain attendance records on the CRM system (Tessitura)
- Operations & Data
- Ensure that all activities are compliant with the Fundraising Code of Practice, GDPR and Somerset House’s own Gift Acceptance Policy
- Record all relationships, activity, pledges, donations and contracts promptly and accurately on Tessitura
- Produce regular reports against targets to support strategic planning and reporting
- Raise invoices / sales orders on our Finance system (Iplicit) and liaise with the Finance team to monitor payment schedules of brand and corporate partners
- General
- Work with colleagues to ensure that Somerset House’s fundraising message and charitable purpose are widely understood and embedded across Somerset House
- Work cross departmentally to stay updated on the upcoming cultural programme and events calendar in order to keep partners informed and engaged
- Develop strong internal relationships to support fundraising activity and relationship management
- Act as a positive ambassador for the work of Somerset House
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in the post
Skills, knowledge & expertise required for the role:
Essential
- Administration experience in a professional setting
- Strong office-based administrative and time management skills
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise and consistently meet deadlines
- Confident and clear communicator, tailoring delivery to suit different audiences
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Tact and discretion
Desirable
- Design experience including use of InDesign (highly desirable, but training will be provided for anyone not fluent in this area)
- Experience working in the arts or creative sectors
- Experience working in account management or fundraising
- Experience in marketing or brand communications
- Working knowledge of fundraising best practice, including GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice
- Confident CRM user, ideally Tessitura
