McBride Sport are delighted to support the Somerset Cricket Foundation in their search for a new Board Chair. It’s an exciting time to join Somerset Cricket Foundation for someone who shares their vision of positively impacting the lives of all people in Somerset through cricket; their mission of taking the game to all, making it safe, inspiring, and inclusive whilst building a continuing legacy; and their values of togetherness, nurture, dedication, integrity, and sustainable growth.
With income having doubled in the last four years and set to rise by another 25% in the next few years, the opportunities for further development of their outreach and the effect that can have, particularly in the more deprived parts of the county and some of the most disadvantaged in society, is enormous.
Dedicated staff, supported by a board of trustees with expertise in different areas, run a charity the ECB regard as a leading organisation in safeguarding, schools’ delivery, cricket workforce, disability playing offer and facilities operations. The role of Chair represents a genuinely exciting opportunity to make a difference to the lives of many through the power of sport.
