McBride Sport are delighted to be partnering with the Somerset Cricket Foundation to support with the appointment of 2 new Trustees to their Board. The Foundation is experiencing an inspiring journey of growth, development and community impact in recent years, with the team having worked tirelessly to support and enhance grassroots cricket across Somerset, making the game more accessible, inclusive and sustainable for all.
Between 2021 and 2025, SCF has established itself as a trusted partner, working closely with clubs, leagues, schools and volunteers to create meaningful opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. During this period, significant investments have been provided by SCF in coaching, facilities, and community development initiatives that have helped expand cricket’s reach throughout the county, ensuring that more people than ever before can experience the joy and benefits of playing all forms of cricket.
Looking ahead, SCF 2026–2029 strategy builds on these strong foundations and uses the power of cricket for good. Five pillars of development will drive the projects and programmes delivered by the team underpinned by Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion:
- Clubs, Leagues & Facilities
- Healthy Communities
- Education and Schools
- Women and Girls
- Governance and Leadership
The Foundation is now seeking individuals with previous experience and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of being a charity Trustee who have a background and experience in Income Generation/Fundraising/Charity Development and could contribute to or chair a board committee in future. Additionally, we are seeking experienced Trustees who bring a focus across Social Investment & Community Impact.
