Somerset EPS is looking for experienced and motivated Psychologists to lead and manage two of our 6 localities as Senior Educational Psychologists. We have positions available in different areas of Somerset. The positions are full-time; however part time will be considered, at a minimum of 0.8 FTE. Salary: Soulbury B 4-7. Existing SPA points will be considered as well as a relocation package up to £8,000. Generous annual leave of 33 days.
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of children, young people and their families here in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Working in a supportive Senior Leadership Team, with a Principal EP and Head of SEND Assessment and Review, and five other Senior EPs
- Contributing to the management of a thriving and large service comprised of Educational Psychologists, trainee EPs and Assistant EPs – including leading a locality team
- Working closely with SEND colleagues
- Providing supervision, and line management
- Leading on specific service areas, strategic priorities or project work
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be, but it will be really important for you:
- To have substantial experience of working as an EP within a local authority context
- To have excellent communication skills
- To be able to lead, support and motivate a locality team
- To be able to contribute to the strategic direction of the EPS and locality working
- To be professionally qualified as an Educational Psychologist and registered with the HCPC
