What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of Children in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Running reports to identify data issues and manage data validation to ensure a high level of accuracy including daily data files from Somerset Schools.
- Follow up and investigate data differences with Education providers and colleagues in Somerset Education Services.
- Work alongside Children’s Education Services teams to meet Statutory deadlines for Admissions and Entitlements
- Support termly School Census and other statutory returns by liaising with Schools and Education Service professionals
- Offer guidance and support to Capita One users
- Design and deliver training to individuals or small groups of front-line staff to coach and mentor in the use of Capita One
- Download, upload and manage data files using the DFE system. This can include searching for and validating information from Education providers, and Education Services teams within Somerset Council.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have:
- Good ICT skills with experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Comfortable with using Database software.
- The ability to follow processes, guidance and other instructions and also contribute to the ongoing review and development of process, procedure and guidance.
- Excellent attention to detail to maintain a high level of accuracy to ensure good data quality.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload and multiple deadlines.
