Join our Care Home Team in Exeter. Green Tree Court located in Exeter is a luxury, 68-bedroom care home which has achieved the Stirling Gold Standard for dementia design. The home provides a comfortable, safe, stylish environment, for those requiring expert dementia support and nursing care.
Purpose of the role
To provide clerical and administrative support to the Administrator and Home Director.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Carry out general administration and typing for the Home Director.

- Talking to potential new residents over the phone, and providing informative and welcoming tours of the home.

- Assist in accurately recording and updating information on employees personal records with regard to confidentiality.
- Assist in inputting and updating payroll records, enabling accurate information to be available for the payroll department within the given time scales.
- Assist in ordering and distribution of uniforms and name badges to staff as per company policy, ensuring they are within budget. Assist in maintaining rechargeable expense accounts / extra\’s for residents.
- Assist in maintaining the filing system accurately.
- Assist in the recording of the purchase ledger by inputting purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
- Assist in the management of petty cash monies in accordance with company policy
- To answer all telephone calls and greet visitors promptly, courteously and efficiently. Offer refreshments and ensure that they are delivered to the visitor.
- Ensure that the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Order newspapers and sort / deliver mail and newspapers to residents.
- Accompany all visitors to the appropriate employees or resident. Accompany new residents and relatives to appropriate rooms.
- Assist with enquiries regarding the Home and showing prospective clients and families around the Home.
- Deputise in the absence on the Administrator as required.
