Step Ahead Training Centre delivers induction training to both The Somerset Care Group and external providers in accordance with legislative requirements. We provide internal and external diplomas in Health & Social Care, Management and Team Leading Awards, in addition to other nationally recognised qualifications through City & Guilds.
We are looking to recruit a new Trainer to the team to work across Somerset, Devon and Wiltshire. The position is full-time and would require flexibility in working hours. Your role will be to deliver induction/mandatory training for both internal and external learners (in an agreed timeframe), providing support, motivation and guidance throughout, adapting your approach to meet the specific learning needs of the individual.
You will be responsible for organising and maintaining relevant documentation. A broad range of communication skills at all levels, practiced time management skills as well as the ability to plan, manage and prioritise your own workload are essential to this role. Likewise, a flexible and positive approach, the ability to get on well with others and to work effectively as part of a team, are a must.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to build relationships, promote our services and expand our business within Somerset, Devon & Wiltshire. Demonstrating your own knowledge and competence in Health & Social Care, a teaching qualification is essential, and an assessor's qualification is also desirable.
