Join our Planning Team that supports South Somerset Reablement Team, part of the Somerset Care Group. You will plan and organise the work of the Reablement Support Workers in the most effective manner, whilst maintaining continuity of care for service users.
You will need to ensure that service users are serviced by appropriately trained staff with skills relevant to meet their needs and maximise capacity by ensuring continual reduction of non-contact time i.e. travel. You will undertake administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the Community Services Office.
Key Tasks
- To carry out day-to-day planning of work activities across the geographical area served by the base.
- To seek and implement improvements to work plans to increase their effectiveness.
- To ensure that referrals are acted upon in a timely fashion.
- To generate work plans which are clear and issued in a timely fashion.
- To ensure that staff absences and holidays are recorded appropriately.
- To always keep the IT system fully up to date with live client and staff information.
- To ensure that exceptions to service delivery are recorded and reported on a regular basis.
- To ensure that effective communications are maintained with other colleagues in base and field settings.
- Welcome visitors to the office; ensures a courteous and appropriate response is provided to staff, service users, service users’ families, professionals and other visitors.
- Issues personal protective equipment, paperwork etc. to staff.
- Answers telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Provides information or advice on relevant matters, process emails, mail and any other administrative tasks to ensure good communication.
- Undertakes audits of service users’ and employees’ files as required for the ongoing audit process.
- Carries out general administrative support tasks as required by the line manager.
For this role you will need to ensure you have:
- Knowledge of the area and able to commute to Taunton from your home location.
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we are not able to offer sponsorship).
- Available to work 7am-3:30pm and/or 9:30am-6pm across Monday to Sunday on a two-week rolling rota.
- Available to work alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
