Join our Halcon Team, part of the Somerset Care Group, in Taunton. Our tailored service provides support to people with physical disabilities.
To apply for this role, you will need to ensure you have:
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we are not able to offer sponsorship).
- Available to work alternate weekends
- Must have a valid full UK driving license
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
An Activities Coordinator role involves:
- You will create, organise and offer Service Users a stimulating programme of activities
- You will work with the Care Assistant to encourage the Service Users to take part in organised activities and one to one support.
- You will organise on a regular basis, outings for the Service Users to appropriate venues. You will also liaise with other homes and arrange activity visits, organising the transport and catering.
- You will identify preferences of resident's social interaction and offer choices of 'group' or 'one-to-one' involvement, and work with the Service Users to identify the social likes and dislikes, which could include entertainment and meaningful activities.
- You will maintain individual records of activity participation and be involved in the development of collating a social history/background record of likes and dislikes about the Service Users. These can be updated/amended, used and referred to when devising activities.
