Shift Pattern: Week 1: Off; Week 2: Saturday 9.30‑14.30 and Sunday 9.30‑14.30
What you’ll be doing:
- You will assist with meal preparation under supervision.
- You will clean the kitchen equipment, floors, surfaces, drainage systems, cupboards and storage areas as agreed with or directed by the Manager or Cook.
- You will carry out kitchen and dining room activities such as laying tables and clearing away as required.
- You will take proper care of all equipment and use cleaning chemicals as necessary in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- You will use hygienic and appropriate waste disposal systems.
- You will use powered equipment following appropriate training including using a dishwasher, and will undertake tasks which require manual handling of loads.
- You will maintain a professional and hygienic appearance.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working within a kitchen setting.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, caring approach, reliability, ability to manage your own time, honesty and respect for confidentiality, clean and tidy appearance, ability to communicate clearly (to understand Service Users and make yourself clearly understood), approachable.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a genuine passion for people.
