At Somerset Care, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to help lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional, person‑centred care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on supporting others, developing teams, and making a genuine difference every day. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the service and step up to lead in their absence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the daily management of the service
  • Leading, motivating and developing a skilled care team
  • Ensuring outstanding, person‑centred care is delivered at all times
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and safeguarding
  • Completing supervisions, appraisals and supporting staff development
  • Promoting a positive, supportive and inclusive culture
  • Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
  • Supporting the growth of the service by developing local community links, promoting opportunities and maintaining effective relationships with external professionals.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced care professional with:

  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Senior Carer, Deputy Manager or similar within Health & Social Care
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • A passion for delivering high-quality care
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
  • Level 4 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
