Description
The Risk Framework Manager will report into the Head of Risk and will assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), specifically through the design, delivery and maintenance of the Group’s risk management minimum standards, guidance and key risk management components e.g. Risk Appetite, Impact Thresholds and Risk Taxonomy.
The Risk Framework Manager will consult with relevant stakeholders across the Group to support and challenge the identification, assessment, monitoring, management and reporting of key risk exposures within the Group.
What you\’ll be responsible for:
With the Group Head of Risk:
Ensure the design and operational effectiveness of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) through:
- Clear, consistent and logical design, delivery and implementation of ERMF minimum standards and guidance.
- Development of training, education and communication materials supporting the embedding of the ERMF.
- Supporting 1st and 2nd colleagues in the adoption and embedding of the ERMF through review / challenge of risk management outputs e.g. Policy reviews.
- Provision of industry / subject matter expertise on risk framework design and development.
- Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the ERMF document estate and associated processes.
- Provision of advice, guidance, and interpretation of risk management requirements to 1st and 2nd line colleagues per the ERMF.
- Work with the Group Risk team to identify and provision data and insight which supports in the ongoing maintenance and application of the framework (e.g. framework adherence).
- Ensure the team work proactively to discuss and manage key priorities, collaborating across disciplines for better overall outcomes.
What you\’ll need:
- Have or be studying towards an applicable recognised risk management qualification(s) e.g. Certificate in Operational Risk Management, International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, etc.
- Risk Management Expertise: Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: risk management framework delivery / implementation, risk oversight / partnering of 1st line functions, internal / external audit, and / or compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing enhancements through identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in successfully engaging with and managing senior stakeholders both individually and through key governance, such as senior committees.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and communication skills to:

- Draft and present detailed concise analysis to stakeholders.
- Convey technical or complex concepts to others in a clear and understandable manner gaining their buy in and support.
- Provide and deliver engaging training, coaching and education on key topics to stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively lead on and prioritise individual and colleague workloads, overseeing multiple priorities proactively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to drive team cohesion and collaboration.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to create and maintain logical, well-documented records and identify and follow applicable governance / version control.
- Independence: Ability to be self-sufficient and work independently, driving the appropriate priorities within the team and individual workload.
