Description

SBG is seeking an Information Governance Coordinator to support the delivery, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of the Group’s information governance framework.

This role is key to ensuring that information is managed securely, effectively, and in line with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.

Working collaboratively across the business, the Information Governance Coordinator will promote best practice in information management, support governance initiatives, and help identify and mitigate information-related risks.

The successful candidate will play an important role in fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement in the way information is managed across the Group.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Group’s Information Governance Framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating information governance, compliance, and security risks.
  • Support key governance disciplines, including data protection, records management, information security, and data governance.
  • Manage and respond to information governance queries through shared mailboxes and service management tools.
  • Maintain governance records, registers, and databases, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate governance activities, including data subject requests, data breaches, policy reviews, and compliance assessments.
  • Promote good information governance practices through training, guidance, and awareness initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and support the implementation of required changes.
  • Administer information governance systems, tools, workflows, reporting, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to embed governance best practices and support compliance.
