Description

We are hiring for a commercially astute analyst to support the delivery of our car insurance strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering actionable insights, supporting governance and trading decisions, and ensuring effective execution of our underwriting plans. This role will also contribute to the operation and documentation of key governance forums, helping ensure our portfolio remains compliant, well-managed, and aligned to business objectives. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, and eye for detail, and a passion for commercial performance.

What You\’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead in the preparation and maintenance of the commercial plan and budget forecasts for the Car portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, MI packs and trackers to monitor trading performance, loss ratio performance, and underwriting changes.
  • Conduct detailed analysis on portfolio performance including book mix, channel mix, and pricing trends; highlight key drivers and recommend actions.
  • Track competitor and market trends and summarise key developments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for governance forums lead by the Head of Account Management.
  • Monitor adherence to regulations, including Consumer Duty and Fair Value assessments, and contribute to documentation and audit readiness.

What You\’ll Need

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data manipulation and reporting (e.g. Excel, SQL, SAS).
  • Strong knowledge of general insurance regulatory principles, including Consumer Duty, Fair Value and Pricing Practices
  • Experience in insurance, finance or related sectors, ideally with exposure to car/motor products.
  • Understanding of underwriting, pricing and claims.
  • Comfortable presenting findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Organised, with experience supporting senior-level governance or project delivery.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Hybrid working – 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home
