As one of the UK’s top motor insurers, Somerset Bridge Group is on an exciting journey to strengthen how we present our brand externally—bringing our culture, people and ambition to life in a more consistent and engaging way. We’re looking for a graduate intern with a passion for marketing, social media or employer branding to support the planning, creation and performance analysis of content on our company LinkedIn page. This is a hands‑on opportunity to gain real‑world experience shaping how a growing business tells its story, builds its brand and engages the talent we want to attract.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Research & Insight
    • Research LinkedIn and social media best practice (content formats, tone, timing, algorithms)
    • Analyse how competitors and leading brands showcase their culture and employer brand
    • Identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement with our target audiences
  • Content planning & creation
    • Build upon and refine our existing LinkedIn content plan and calendar
    • Create and draft posts (e.g. employee stories, culture highlights, industry insights)
    • Ensure content reflects our employer brand, values and tone of voice
  • Posting & channel management
    • Schedule content on the SBG LinkedIn page
    • Work with stakeholders to gather inputs, stories and approval for posts
    • Ensure posts align with internal social media policy and brand guidelines
  • Performance tracking & optimisation
    • Monitor post performance (engagement, reach, clicks, etc.)
    • Produce simple reports and insights on what’s working and what isn’t
    • Recommend improvements and test new approaches to increase engagement

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a recent graduate (or about to graduate) in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • Have a strong interest in social media, branding or content creation
  • Have excellent written communication skills and can write clearly and engagingly
  • Are curious and data-driven—comfortable reviewing performance and turning insight into action
  • Are organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Bring ideas and aren’t afraid to suggest new ways of doing things

Bonus (but not essential)

  • Experience managing social media accounts (personal, academic or professional)
  • Basic understanding of LinkedIn analytics or social media tools
  • Confidence using tools like PowerPoint and Copilot
