We are recruiting for a Telematics Pricing Manager to own our telematics proposition, generating insight from telematics data and driving actionable insights that will improve accuracy of our risk pricing models. The role will be responsible for setting and achieving trading KPIs in line with business strategy whilst ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role in the SBG growth strategy and product offering. You will take ownership of the product and ensure a customer centric approach to servicing our policies.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Product ownership, responsible for setting and achieving target KPIs.
- Maintaining Loss Ratio KPIs and ultimate loss ratio indication system to support profitability decisions.
- Developing value from telematics and customer engagement tools.
- Creation and maintenance of monitoring tools.
- Ensuring costs and income are accurately managed.
- Keeping track of market movements through market models, benchmarking and analysis.
- Collaborating with other areas of the business to put in place trials to assess performance of changes.
- Managing a team of Analysts to deliver against business and function objectives.
- Taking a customer focused approach to decision making.
- Development of a rewards strategy to reduce customer road risk.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field is desirable, or a non-related degree which covers modules in data/coding or programming.
- Further qualifications are desirable (e.g. Master’s degree, Project Management qualification, IFoA, CII, etc.).
- Experience of insurance pricing.
- Software / coding experience e.g. SQL / Python.
- Trading management.
- Technical awareness of modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing projects.
- Prior line management experience is desirable.
- Experience of Databricks / Radar / Emblem is desirable.
- Knowledge of insurance products, customer segments and market dynamics is desirable.
- Knowledge of telematics products, telemetry data and customer engagement analysis is desirable.
