Somerlea Park Junior School is seeking a caretaker to ensure the safety, security, cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings and grounds. The role will support our move into a brand new school building in January 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide site security and carry out basic repairs and daily caretaking tasks to maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Report any faults that require specialist help to the appropriate people.
- Ensure adherence to fire safety, health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Good DIY skills and basic maintenance knowledge.
- A proactive, independent working style.
- Strong communication skills and reliable teamwork.
- Experience working as part of a cleaning and maintenance team.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 10:30 am and 02:30 – 06:30 pm.
