Somercotes Infants School are seeking a calm and caring SEND teaching assistant to join our nurturing team within our Year 1 classroom as part of our inclusive school. The role advertised is from 9.00 - 11.00, 5 days per week. There may also be the opportunity for additional hours for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work as part of our inclusive team within our KS1 phase building. They will bring their caring nature and calm presence to the school, supporting the children in following their specific timetables, developing both their academic and wider personal development.
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
