Somerce is a TikTok Shop specialist agency focused on driving GMV growth for brands. We work with some of the fastest-growing beauty, fashion, lifestyle and FMCG brands in the UK, US and EU, managing everything from live commerce and affiliates to paid media and trading strategy.
As Finance Manager, you'll be the financial backbone of the business - working directly with the CFO to ensure our books are accurate, our reporting is timely, and our processes scale with our growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean numbers and isn't afraid to own their area end-to-end.
What you’ll be doing
- Bookkeeping & Accounts
- Own day-to-day bookkeeping across the business
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger on a regular basis
- Manage month-end close processes and produce timely management accounts
- Creditors (Accounts Payable)
- Process and manage supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Oversee payment runs and ensure all supplier payments are made on time
- Manage creditor ledgers and resolve any discrepancies
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Debtors (Accounts Receivable)
- Raise client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage the debtor ledger and chase outstanding balances proactively
- Monitor aged debtors and elevate where appropriate
- Ensure cash collection targets are met
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly management accounts and commentary for the CFO
- Support the production of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
- Provide regular reporting on key financial metrics and variances
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation and liaising with external accountants/auditors
- Payroll & Compliance
- Support payroll processing or liaise with payroll provider
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Ensure the business remains compliant with all relevant financial regulations
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes as the business scales
- Identify efficiencies and implement better ways of working
- Support the CFO on ad-hoc finance projects as required

Essential
- Proven experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally in a fast-paced or agency environment
- Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial records
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your workload
- Strong communication skills - able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Desirable
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience working in a digital agency, e-commerce or startup environment
- Exposure to multi-currency accounting
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
