Qualified Electrician needed for a large data centre specialist. Working alongside the network / ICT Data Centre Engineer, you will provide the electrical expertise to the data centre.

You will be responsible for:

  • Equipment installation and troubleshooting
  • Performing routine inspections and maintenance of critical infrastructure including power, cooling and network systems
  • Operating, monitoring, and maintaining all HV and LV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols
  • Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and BMS
  • Conducting HV switching operations as per Safe Systems of Work
  • Responding promptly to technical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Overseeing and executing hands-on preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, either directly or through vendor management, including managing the permit to work system

About you:

  • Qualified Engineer - 17th or 18th Edition
  • You will come from a Critical background or other Engineering maintenance environments, such as Pharmaceutical, Power stations, Banking, Industrial or Maritime engineering
  • You will have hands-on experience of covering the planned and reactive maintenance to Single & three-phase power, UPS, Power Generators, lighting, HVAC plant, air conditioning, etc.
  • Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings is beneficial
