Qualified Electrician needed for a large data centre specialist. Working alongside the network / ICT Data Centre Engineer, you will provide the electrical expertise to the data centre.
You will be responsible for:
- Equipment installation and troubleshooting
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance of critical infrastructure including power, cooling and network systems
- Operating, monitoring, and maintaining all HV and LV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols
- Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and BMS
- Conducting HV switching operations as per Safe Systems of Work
- Responding promptly to technical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs
- Maintaining up-to-date records and logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Overseeing and executing hands-on preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, either directly or through vendor management, including managing the permit to work system
About you:
- Qualified Engineer - 17th or 18th Edition
- You will come from a Critical background or other Engineering maintenance environments, such as Pharmaceutical, Power stations, Banking, Industrial or Maritime engineering
- You will have hands-on experience of covering the planned and reactive maintenance to Single & three-phase power, UPS, Power Generators, lighting, HVAC plant, air conditioning, etc.
- Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings is beneficial
