Senior Sales Executive – Public Sector (HMRC or DWP)

London – Hybrid working model (2 days in office)

We are looking for an experienced Sales Professional with a history of selling into the Public Sector, specifically to either HMRC or DWP. It will be for a well-known player in the Cybersecurity sector.

What you\’ll do:

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to help build an Enterprise Public Sector Sales team to cover large Public Sector accounts across the UK&I region. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at all levels with technical and non-technical buyers.

As a Public Sector Account Executive, you\’ll be responsible for developing and executing against a comprehensive account/territory plan as well as driving sales in a defined territory and/or account list to achieve revenue targets. The person in this role will also assist in creating and articulating compelling value propositions for the company\’s services in the Public Sector and be one of the key influencers in shaping the team in the coming years.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Minimum 5 years of direct public sector selling experience, having worked with at least one of the following verticals: large local government, central departments, HMRC or DWP.
• Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles.
• Understanding of CCS and other procurement frameworks.
• Experienced working with Systems Integrators and Channel partners.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and “how the internet works”.
• Aptitude for learning technical concepts/terms (Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus).
• Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
