Due to growth and technology improvements, Cloud based IT Services company is looking for an experienced Head of Systems to join their team.
Overview
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for shaping systems roadmap, leading a high-performing team, and collaborating across the business to deliver operational excellence.
This position would suit someone looking to progress to a CIO level role in 3 / 4 years.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the strategic ownership, development, and integration of all core business systems across the company.
- You will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of core technology platforms ensuring systems are robust, secure, and scalable.
- Working closely with the wider Data and Systems team you will ensure our systems enable success for our employees and customers.
- Oversee the architecture, integration, and performance optimisation of all core business systems including CRM, Finance, ITSM, Billing Engine(s) and HR
- Working with the Internal IT team to ensure business systems are supported, including high availability, security, backup, and scalability of platforms supporting customer and internal operations.
- Lead system transformation, automation, upgrades, and migrations ensuring successful delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver improvements in alignment with the Data Team, Systems Strategy, Data Strategy, and Business Strategy.
- Communicate technical roadmaps, priorities, and progress to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with IT operational teams to ensure business systems are supported, and managed, from an IT operational perspective.
Your background
- Proven experience in leading enterprise systems strategy and delivery within a fast-paced cloud-focussed environment.
- Strong understanding of system integration, architecture, and business process automation.
- Demonstrated success leading teams through transformation, scaling, and change management.
- Experience with platforms that support business operations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
Work arrangement
This is a hybrid role with 3 / 4 days in the office.
This role does NOT cover IT Operations, infrastructure or security as these have their dedicated teams. We are looking for business systems skills.
