Job Type: Inside IR 35 Contract for 1 year
Job Location: London, Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain market connectivity solutions using TransFICC’s Unified API.
- Integrate and manage connectivity to electronic trading venues (e.g., Tradeweb, Bloomberg, MTS, BrokerTec, MarketAxess).
- Configure and support FIX, streaming, and venue‑specific protocols, ensuring accurate and reliable messaging.
- Develop high‑performance, scalable services using Core Java (8/11/17).
- Build and enhance components for pricing, order routing, and execution workflows.
- Apply low‑latency, event‑driven, and asynchronous design patterns to improve throughput and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and messaging issues in production.
- Conduct latency tuning, load testing, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with SRE/DevOps teams to improve observability, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.
Key Requirements
- Strong expertise in Core Java, including concurrency, memory management, and GC tuning.
- Hands‑on experience integrating and developing with TransFICC’s Connectivity Platform.
- Experience with electronic market protocols: FIX (4.x/5.x), Binary/Streaming protocols (ITCH, FAST, SBE, JSON over TCP).
- Familiarity with low‑latency patterns, high‑throughput messaging, and microservices.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and performance analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Aerospike, or other high‑performance data stores.
- Understanding of order lifecycle, price feeds, and eTrading workflows in fixed income/rates.
