Their sustainability journey focuses on reducing environmental impact across a large, multi-site estate by improving energy performance, supporting the transition to low-carbon technologies, and embedding best practice across electricity, gas, and water usage.
My client is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to develop, implement, and monitor energy solutions that improve sustainability performance and reduce operational energy costs. This role will play a key part in supporting the organisation’s decarbonisation roadmap and delivering energy efficiency initiatives across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement energy efficiency initiatives aligned with my client’s net-zero commitments
- Identify, develop, and deliver energy solutions, turning ideas into actionable projects
- Prepare feasibility studies and costed business cases for energy reduction initiatives
- Monitor and verify project performance to ensure energy and cost savings are realised
- Stay ahead of best practice and emerging technologies in energy efficiency and sustainability
- Track energy consumption and emissions by site, delivering utility savings through effective planning and reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal, statutory, and technical energy requirements
- Support the development and maintenance of an environmental management system aligned to standards such as ISO 14001
- Work with internal communications teams to influence operational behaviours and promote energy efficiency
- Collaborate with maintenance and property teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a key contributor within sustainability working groups, presenting initiatives and progress updates
About You:
- Proven experience in energy management or a closely related discipline
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, renewable energy, and carbon reduction strategies
- Experience conducting energy audits and feasibility studies
- Familiarity with energy legislation, compliance requirements, and best practice standards (e.g. ISO 14001)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop ROI-driven business cases
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including influencing behavioural change
- Strong project management capability, including monitoring and verification of energy projects
